Blackstone ditches Ramoji

Adding fuel to the fire, Blaclstone group, which promised hundreds of crores to Ramoji group has backed off this week. Before calling off the deal the Blackstone group has mentioned that the valuations for etv stations were hyped and in the wake of the competetion the future for TV in India is bleak. This has become a shock to Ramoji.

Before this Margadarshi-Vundavalli episode, Ramoji used to oppose Foreign Direct Investments in Media. He told openly about this in a SAARC Media conference which was held in Ramoji Filmcity in 2005. In an interview to Business world magazine also he said the same thing.(If you have any doubts...refer Business World Archives...I think in Janauary 2007) But when he was in need of funds in the face of Margadarshi episode...he shamelessly approached foreign Private Equity Funds. This shows the DOUBULE STANDARDS Ramoji follows...
Come on Ramoji...afterall you are a pecca businessman. Everyone accepts you in that way. Dont act like a Revolutionary...trying to change the society...Either go in Ramnath Goenka way or Dirubhai Ambani way. Dont try to get the best of both worlds

Wat cud ramoji do if Central congress govt does not let the deal go thru by stopping the approval beyond the date.
