End of Cable era posted by http://www.apmediatruth.blogspot.com/

End of Cable era posted by http://www.apmediatruth.blogspot.com/

In the latest development Suntv and etv have joined hands to finishout the cable industry in the state. Sun Dish service decided to provide all telugu channels for Rs.75 only. Sun group channels will be available for Rs.25 only. This will certainly destroy the local cable operator business and bring in a new era of Dish culture. What will the cable operators say about this development?

See.. this is the cable operators tactics. At first they come with a big bang that they collect 50/- to 100/-. Slowly they grab the major market share. Finally join hands with the existing operators. Then all consumers are forced to pay 250/-+ (present existing rate)

For example in Vizag local cable operators joined hands and started cable vision. First they collected only 50/- to grab the connections. Later they came to understanding with siti cable people and shared the Vizag city equally.

Afterwards Excel started in the same manner offering 50/- price with writing bonds. After gaining thousands of connections the story is same. They three shared the city and kept the rate as 200/- to 250/-. Now Sridevi cable vision (SDV) entered with the slogan of 50/-. Gained 40,000 connections. But the story repeated.

Consumers are cheated by the operators all the time, because they are business man. Their thoughts are one and the same. They will throw the penauts to make huge money in coming days.

If anyone try to count the pay channels it will come to 200/-+. How can a business man give the connection for 1/2 of the purchasing rate. Is it possible.

Here are some leakages which the pay channels intentionally over look them. Operators will pay the amount for 50%- 60% connections. Thus in some areas operators are dare to give for 150/- to 175/-.

Let us wait and see how far sun network maintain on this stand.

I put in an other way, cable industry's monopoly is over. Cable indusrty has survived in the west and it coexists with DTH. Even in India it will survive by offering more value added services. technology is changing at a rapid pace who knows even DTH may become outdated.

Unbeleivable, What a huge shiftings of Eenadu seniors to Andhra Jyothy. Recent promotions provoked many people to shift from parent organisation.

YogeswaraRao, Vadde Venkateswara Rao, B.NageswaraRao, ChandraSekhar Sastri, Murthy, Kameswara Rao, Y.Srinivas.. these people are well known seniors. Some of them are very loyal to Kiran.

If this trend continues Eenadu will suffer from huge manpower shortage in coming days. Let us see.. whether Ramoji will recruit the editorial staff directly or stick on to his stand that every editorial staff must be from his Journalism school.

Just now one of the Eenadu friend saying that many seniors are ready to left the organisation after getting Bonus.

Your right Mr. cable industry's monopoly is over. CAS(Conditional Access System) is being implemented in the both cities Delhi and Mumbai. A.P. Govt. Should implement such system here also. T.V. viwer can survive with such type of system. every connection should have STB(SET TO BOX) like DTH and TATA Sky. In this system paid channels cost should be in between Rs.2 to Rs.5 per connection. and this system is just like a bonaja for free channel viewers. they may pay only Rs.50 to Rs.75 p.m. for access all the free channals...

Hi,

One way it seems cable is over. But do u think Sun DTH is safe for us. No way. Initially they start with Rs 75 or Rs 100, ultimately they will go up to Rs 200. When all AP Cable operators went against them they just took back for some time. They had this DTH idea that time it self. Thats why just they waited. Now TV9 can not stop, MAATv can not stop, ETV can not stop Sun DTH. Now officially they loot Rs 300 crores from state viewers. Can Hath Way dare to stop them? That is Kalanidhi Maran. He will never come to Hyderabad. But his agents will run the show here.

Now Cable operators can not depend on TV9 Raviprakash. If they want business they should fold their hands before Kalanidhi Maran. Finally due to cable operators war against Sun tv MSos and operators are loosing, Sun tv is gaining crores together. There is no cable business with out Gemini TV.

This is only small bigining, watch just few months, Sun will supreem, all are zeeros.

IF THIS DEVELOPMENT TAKES PLACE...YES IT IS "THE END" TITLE FOR CABLE OPERATORS. SOME MSO'S AND CABLE OPERATORS LOOTED CHANNELS AND SUBSCRIBERS. BESIDES THIS, THE BLACKMAILING OF THESE OPERATORS IS NOT A SMALL ISSUE. SOME OF THE SENIOR AND HONEST JOURNALISTS FROM TV MEDIA WERE HARASSED AND HAD TO LEAVE THE INDUSTRY.

OF COURSE, THERE IS ANOTHER DANGER...IN CASE IF THE PROPOSED TIE-UP OF SUN-ETV DOES NOT GIVE ALL THE CHANNELS...WHAT IS THE NET RESULT ? (ALTHOUGH SUPREME COURT ORDER SPECIFIES THAT ALL THE CHANNELS MUST BE SHOWN)

THINK AND REACT...
