What went wrong with Saakshi?

300 crores were spent. Tonnes of money was spent on meaningless advertising. Scores of journos were poached with hefty pay packets. But when the first edition cameout at 8am, it sunk without trace. The Net-edition looks like a third grade website. Fans of YS family are very much disappointed with the first look of "SAAKSHI". First impression became the worst impression.

Now the question is What went wrong? Who is the culprit?

What a tragedy? The man, who rented his pen to Jagan, without giving much thought compared,Sakshi to Seehta. He might have wrote this piece without commonsense or with foolishness. Seetha is the role of a women, who suffered most difficulties in mythology. Seetha never was never in peace. Is he means, Sakshi is also going to suffer in the same way and ultimately enter in to Bhudevi? What an out dated thinking? Seetha cannot be wife of many(readers) as well Sakshi? The other flaw is: Vaarhtharudu cannot become Vaarthala Srushtikarhta? What a controdiction? A fellow who came here as a breadwinner can become editor and create news, but cannot become owner of a newspaper? A politician, a manipulative industrialist can become creater of news, but a journalist cannot. What a wonderful theory? You must longlive like this.

Political loyalties aside, Eenadu's first priority has always been quality of news (best example: Saakshi's inaguaration was today's headline news in Eenadu) That's what makes Eenadu No.1. AP people didn't make it the largest circulated daily for no reason. As for Saakshi, it's too early to judge. But, as it's owners' intentions are obvious, it's hard to believe this new kid-in-the-game sticks to the high standards he boasted about in the very first editorial. In that case, Saakshi's fate will be no different from that of Udayam and Vaartha - both of which entered the scene with much fan-fare but quit silently after a few years.

This is a news paper, a big venture no body dreamt of two years ago. Every venture will have some teething problems and will take time to set it all right.

The paper and the content is not so bad, poor or worse as some people wrote here. It is worth it.

May be we are expecting too many sensational news and shitty surveys that we are habituated to see in news papers till now and the lack of the same might be disappointing to many.

The website looks very clean without any ad banners distracting our sight. We know several news sites with more ads banners than news.

No man! Facts reporting is news. You all are used to cunning Eenadu editorial policies and are not able to come out. It will take some time for you. Don’t get so excited. Speak to the common people who would judge which is the better newspaper.

I bet a grand, even the Grandfa and Godfather like Ramoji can not create a Telugu newspaper which is likes of Sakshi. He is outdated man! Gone forever!

Some one said he did right thing by not joining Sakshi. You have got hikes because of Sakshi’s existence. Pray the god it to be successful. Otherwise, your grand old man will screw your ass hard enough and will tight your balls to get additional work from you for the extra bucks, which are paid to you because of competition.

I am not a Journalist, I am reading this blog since last one week. I really dont know what factors influencing you to think like this. Your personal emotions are dominating your proffesional behaviour. Wake up, be proffessional. You guys too behaving just like silly so-called politicians. I really feel AP media(print&satellite) really loosing credibility. Whole AP media is biased now.You are screwing the system.
