Journalist Housing Societies

There is an effort by some of our journalist friends to form a new housing society. the proposed new housing society will have, as its members, all those journalists eligible for a housing plot. The talk is that the government principle agreed to give land to the housing society which is in broad representative character, i.e., journalists from the electronic media, print media, small and medium newspapers, photographers, cameramen, etc.,

The promoters of the new housing society now want the journalists who are already members of respective housing societies to withdraw their membership and join the new society.

Why is it that things are stretched beyond the limits? If the government does not have confidence in the existing societies or if the government wants the land to be given to the society with representative character it can be done. For this the journalists need not withdraw their membership in the existing societies.

All that needs to be done is allot land through a Government Order to a New Society which, the government thinks is going to have a representative character. On allotment of land to the society, new members will be taken (till then there will be only promoters). to the available extent of land. This will suffice to the extent that no member will have to withdraw his membership in the existing society.

Once the GO is out the guidelines of the government will also be clear and the eligibility criteria specified. Asking the journalists to withdraw membership from the existing societies would lead to confusion and leaves scope for intimidation when the new society membership issue begins.

For giving plots there should be some criteria. But making it as 10 years is highly inhuman and also injustice. It is better to share the land in reasonably less quantum. So that many jounalists will be benefited. For that we strongly propose 175 square yards per head. Along with that there should be a provision of minimum 3 years working experience in hyderabad. If seniors are not going to think with broad mind... issue is going to be further complicated. This is an humble appeal to seniors.. think big.

As the elections are comming, please keen on what is going on in Eenadu, and for the young journalists working in it. Some old fellows are already got plots when your party gave last time. they are totally favour of TDP. Though you did lot about journalists in telugu media, most of them are against you. It is bad of us. But, we, the youngsters, who experience below 5 years, assuring you " we are behind you". Jagan bhayya, please cooperate with us. we will make you CM in comming future. Take necessary steps to allot plots to all journalists irrespective of 'experience". Eeandu management does not have any interest to recognise thier young journalists . they are not giving membership to them in their housing society.DEVUDU VARAMICHINA POOJARI VARAM IVVATLEDU. all the journalists and non journalists whose experience below 5 years and working in jyothi, vaartha, and other media organisations are going to get house sites except those working in eenadu. this is the curse of eenadu management, and some seniors.
