అరుణ్ కుమార్ 'ఈవారం'

రాజమండ్రి ఎంపి ఉండవల్లి అరుణ్ కుమార్ గారి 'ఈవారం' పత్రిక ఈ మధ్య బుక్ స్టాళ్ళలో కనబడుటలేదు. కారణం.. కమిషన్ చెల్లింపు విషయంలో కక్కుర్తి. ఫలితం.. ఈవారం పత్రిక అమ్మొద్దని బుక్ స్టాళ్ళ నిర్ణయం. కేవలం కాంగ్రెస్ అనుకూల వార్తలు, అందునా పార్టీలో ప్రత్యర్థులపై వ్యతిరేక వార్తలు.. ఇదీ ఈవారం ధోరణి. పి.జె.ఆర్. మరణించాక ఆయనకు నివాళిగా వ్యాసాన్ని కూడా ప్రచురించలేదు. చాలీ చాలని జీతాలు.. ఎవరికి అనుకూలంగా రాయాలో, ఎవరికి వ్యతిరేకంగా రాయాలో అర్థంకాక ఈవారంలో మొదటి నుండి ఉన్న జర్నలిస్టుల్లో దాదాపుగా అంతా మానేశారు. పత్రిక అడ్రస్సూ మారింది. పాపం ఈవారం .. వచ్చే వారానికైనా కోలుకుంటుందో లేదో?..

ఏసియానెట్ లో సతీష్ బాబు

జెమిని న్యూస్ చీఫ్ ఎడిటర్ పదవికి సతీష్ బాబు రాజీనామా ఇచ్చేశారు. ఇప్పుడాయన కొత్తగా రాబోయే ఏసియానెట్ వారి తెలుగు ఛానెల్ ' సితార ' లో చేరిపోయారు. సతీష్ బాబు జెమినిలో చేరెప్పుడే అక్కడ ఎక్కువ కాలం ఉండే అవకాశం లేదని మీడియా మిత్రులంతా ఊహించారు. అనుకున్నట్లే ఆయన పట్టుమని 6 నెలలు కూడా జెమినిలో ఇమడలేక పోయారు. ఇందుకు సతీష్ బాబును తప్పు పట్టలేం. జెమిని యాజమాన్యం విపరీత ధోరణులను ఆయన తట్టుకోలేక పోయారు. చాలీ చాలని జీతాలతో జెమిని నుండి వలస పోతున్న సిబ్బంది స్థానంలో కొత్తవారిని నియమించడంలో యాజమాన్య నిర్లక్ష్యం సతీష్ బాబును ఇబ్బందికి గురిచేసిందని చెప్పుకుంటున్నారు. సిబ్బందిని, పరికరాలను ఇవ్వకుండా టార్గెట్లు పెట్టడం జెమినివారి ప్రత్యేకత. గత కొంత కాలంగా జెమిని యాజమాన్యానికి, సతీష్ బాబుకు మధ్య దూరం పెరిగింది. ఇందుకు సతీష్ బాబు వ్యవహారశైలి కూడా కారణం. ప్రతి విషయానికి తొందరపడి సిబ్బందిపై అరవడం, నచ్చనివారిని శంకరగిరి మాన్యాలను పంపడం సతీష్ బాబుకు అలవాటైన విద్య. బెస్టాప్ లక్ సతీష్ బాబు గారు.. ఏసియానెట్ లో అయినా కుదురుగా ఉండే వాతావరణం ఉండాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాం..
కొత్త ఎడిటర్ ఎవరు?
సతీష్ బాబు తర్వాత ఎవరొస్తారన్నది జెమిని ముందున్న ప్రశ్న. జెమిని టీవీ ఎడిటర్, బ్యూరో చీఫ్, కోఆర్డినేటర్ పోస్టుల్లో పని చేయాలంటే జర్నలిస్టులకు భయం. ఈ పదవుల్లో ఉన్నవారందరినీ వేధించి సాగనంపడం జెమిని యాజమాన్యానికి వెన్నతో పెట్టిన విద్య. సాక్షాలు కావాలంటే రవిప్రకాష్, కందుల రమేష్, భావనారాయణ, మధు, మాధవ్, మునిరాజు లను అడిగి చూడండి.

వెళ్ళిపోయిన వాళ్ళకు రకరకాల కారణాలు ఉన్నాయి.టీవీ 9 కోసం రవి ప్రకాష్ వెళ్ళాడు.టీవీ సంగతి తెలియక తెర మీద కనిపించబోయి కందులకు పరాభవం ఎదురైంది.భావనారాయణ అప్పటికే రెండు సార్లు రాజీనామా చేసి ఇక తట్టుకొలేక మూడో సారి మానేసి కనిపించకుండా వెళ్లిపోయాడు.హైదరాబాద్ దెబ్బ అర్థం అయి ఉండాలి.7 ఏళ్ళు పని చేసినందుకు మెచ్చుకోవాలి. తనకు చేతకాని పని చేయబోయి బోర్లా పడిన మధును కాంగ్రెస్ కూడా ఆదుకోలేకపోయింది. మాధవ్ అనే రవిప్రకాష్ ఏజెంట్ గురించి తెలిసిన యాజమాన్యం అతగాడిని సాగనంపింది. రఘుకుమార్ ఏజెంట్ మునిరాజు చివరికి తన దారి తాను చూసుకోక తప్పలేదు.ఇచ్చిన వరకే చాలునని ఒప్పుకొని చేరిన సతీష్ బాబు తన ధోరణిలో తప్పులు చేసి అక్కడ కుదరదని తెలిసి జారుకున్నాడు.

తెలుగు దిన పత్రికల మధ్య పోరాటం

సాక్షి రంగప్రవేశంతో తెలుగు దిన పత్రికల మధ్య పోరాటం ప్రారంభమైంది. అది సర్క్యులేషన్లోనో, వార్తల కవరేజీలోనో కాదు. పరస్పరం దుమ్మెత్తిపోసుకోవడంలోనే ఈ పోరాటం.. ఈనాడు, ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి పత్రికలకు పోటీగా అత్యాధునిక టెక్నాలజీ, అన్ని పేజీలు రంగుల్లో, ఒకేసారి 23 ఎడిషన్లతో వచ్చిన సాక్షి సరికొత్త చరిత్ర సృష్టించిందనడంలో అనుమానం లేదు. అయితే ఈనాడులో వచ్చిన స్టోరీ(జడ్చర్ల ఎస్.ఇ.జడ్)ని సాక్షి సమీక్షించడం, సాక్షిపై ఈనాడు ఎదురు తిరగడం పాఠకులను ఆశ్చర్యపరిచింది. ఈనాడులో వచ్చిన స్టోరీ అసత్యమైతే వివరణ ఇచ్చుకోవాల్సిన బాధ్యత ప్రభుత్వానిది. కానీ సాక్షి ఎందుకు జోక్యం చేసుకున్నట్లు? అలాగే తాను అమ్ముతున్నట్లుగానే ఇతర తెలుగు దిన పత్రికలు కూడా రూ.2/-కే అమ్మాలని సాక్షి డిమాండ్ చేయడం ఎంతవరకూ సబబు. ఎవరి సరుకుకు వారు ధర నిర్ణయించుకునే హక్కు కలిగి ఉంటారు. తాను అమ్మే ధరకే ఇతరులూ అమ్మాలని ఏ వ్యాపారి కూడా శాసించజాలడు. ఏ ధరకు ఏ సరుకు కొనాలో నిర్ణయించుకునేది వినియోగదారుడే. ఈ సూత్రం పత్రికలకూ, పాఠకులకూ వర్తిస్తుంది. అంతర్జాతీయ టెక్నాలజీతో, అన్ని పేజీలు రంగుల్లో కేవల రూ.2/- కే ఇస్తున్న సాక్షితో ఈనాడు, ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి పోటీపడలేవని అర్థమైపోయింది. ఈ విషయాన్ని ఆ రెండు దిన పత్రికలే అంగీకరించాయి. ఎలాగు సాక్షి సర్క్యులేషన్ 13 లక్షలు దాటింది. యుద్దమొలో గెలిసిన తర్వాత కూడా శత్రువుని హింసించాలా?.. క్షమించి వదిలేయవచ్చుకదా?..

You name it as marketing or to exist in the market or competetion for Eenadu and AJ, Jagan wants to distribute the paper for free which made a circulation of 12 lakhs per day incurring losses of Rs. 75 lakhs per day. They took the signature from people to whom they are distributing the paper saying that they will pay to the paper if they like the content and want to continue. But everyone is saying that its a bad move from SAAKSHI side as the people started looking it as a pamplet of Congress (especially YSR) which is supporting every move of present government.

In the inauguration function, Jagan stated that SAAKSHI will be un-biased news paper in Andhra Pradesh. How many of you believed the words of Jagan?? Myself, not even 0.01%, how about you ?

forget targetting Jagan. ETV bureau cheif venkat krishna was removed on the charges of corruption. This is followup action after manager sridhar was removed from the post. He is also alleged to have tried a plot got alloted for his third girl friend.

If Sakshi comes it takes care of large population of other castes, who r strong in politics but no media support. Sakshi is improving everyday and sure its cirulation raises to 15 lacs soon. EEnadu used to PRETEND impartiality and when it was time used to throw dirt at opponents. But people got tired of this. I do not think sakshi should do this. They are not not in a business of pretentions. They will tell the world about Ramoji and TDP scams and unholy alliances. It is important to have this paper so one can have a balanced news between eenadu and sakshi each representing 2 extreme veiws. More competition, better is for subsriber. Subscribers gain. Saakshi seems to be like a phamplet of Congress party and YSR. People judges what is what. Even Eenadu supports TDP but not like Saakshi.
Hot News is that Revathi has been selected as an Input Editor for Saakshi TV (Indira). What does she know about Journalism? She was a trainee reporter in TV9 in 2005. By luck she got chance in IBN. But She was a failure reporter there itself.

If real worth is there in the newspaper, people will not mind to purchase that newspaper even by paying Rs.100/-. What is the Sakshi's problem. They are daily writing that they are selling Sakshi only Rs.2/-. Are they thinking that they are doing any service to the people by selling Rs.2/-. If they think in that way they can. But what is the justification for them to run a campaign (that too in front pages) against Eenadu & AJ saying that these newspapers are selling Rs.3/-and asking them to sell @ Rs.2/-. In what capacity Sakshi asking them to reduce Eenadu & AJ prices. If tomorrow any newspaper asks Sakshi to distribute free of cost, will Sakshi do that (ofcourse in some places they are distributing freely to claim their circulation).

The media war is really hot. I read both Eenadu and Sakshi. To say that Sakshi is impartial is nothing but self-deception. But what about the other news papers like Eenadu and AJ? Can any rational man say that these are impartial papers.

Even though most of the readers know that these papers are partial, atleast the news items provided some data points and in the absense of any opposing view, they were circulated as facts. People in most of the conversations use these news items as references. To say that these are partial, one has to have deep knowledge about the situation and such people are rare.

In this context, Sakshi's arrival is a welcome step. After reading about today's "Edi Nijam" against Eenadu's news item on SEZs, one is concerned about what is really happening. It questions Eenadu's so called facts point by point.

Till now, mediocrity in media went unnoticed. But the current level of competetion will test the one-sided and fabricated articles to the maximum.

The only difference between Eenadu and Sakshi is that Sakshi is more open in it's stand unlike Eenadu's pretention.

' పట్టు ' కళలో ఆరితేరిన వెంకటకృష్ణ ఈటీవీలో సీనియర్లందరిని సాగనంపాడు. కొందరు సీనియర్లు ' ఫిలింసిటీ ' దాటి బయటకు రాకుండా కట్టడి చేయగలిగాడు. ప్రస్తుతం వెంకటకృష్ణను ఫోర్జరీ కేసు వెంటాడుతోంది. ప్రభుత్వం ఇస్తున్న ఇళ్ళ స్థలాల కోసం రామోజీ ఫిలింసిటీలో ఉండే చాలా మంది సీనియర్ జర్నలిస్టులకు అప్లికేషన్లు అందకుండా వెంకటకృష్ణ అడ్డుకున్నాడనే ఆరోపణలు ఉన్నాయి. దరఖస్తు చేసుకున్నా వారిలో 15కు పైగా అనర్హులు ఉన్నారని తెలుస్తోంది. ఈటీవీ నుండి దరఖాస్తు చేసుకున్న కొందరు సీనియర్ జర్నలిస్టుల పేర్లు జాబితాలో చోటు చేసుకోలేదు. తనకు గిట్టని వారి పేర్లు అర్హుల జాబితాలో చోటు చేసుకోకుండా వెంకటకృష్ణ సాయశక్తులా ప్రయత్నించాడు. ఎలక్ట్రానిక్ మీడియా హౌసింగ్ సొసైటీ స్క్రూటినీ కమిటీ సమావేశంలో ఈటీవీ నుండి ఒక పేరు కచ్చితంగా ఉండాలని వెంకటకృష్ణ గట్టిగా పట్టు పట్టదు. ఆ పేరు వెంకటకృష్ణ ప్రియురాలిది. ఈటీవీలో చాలా కాలంగా పని చేస్తున్నట్లు ఒక ఫోర్జరీ లేఖను ఈ దరఖాస్తు వెంట దాఖలు చేశాడు. అసలు ఈమె ఎవరా అని విచారిస్తే ఆవిడకి ఈటీవీతో ఎలాంటి సంబందం లేదని బయట పడింది. ఆమె ఒక అగ్ర దర్శకుడి పీ.ఆర్.ఓ. వెంకటకృష్ణ ఫొర్జరీ వ్యవహారం ఈటీవీ యాజమాన్యం దృష్టికి వెళ్ళి oది. పాపం వెంకటకృష్ణకు కష్ట కాలం మొదలైంది. అదృష్టవశాత్తు ఎలక్ట్రానిక్ మీడియా హౌసింగ్ సొసైటీ జాబితాను జవహర్ లాల్ నెహ్రు హౌసింగ్ సొసైటీ పక్కన పెట్టింది.

సైకిల్ దొంగగా నేరమయ జీవితాన్ని ఆరంభించిన ఓ ఒంగోలు చిన్నోడు కెమెరా అసిస్టెంట్ గా ఎలక్ట్రానిక్ మీడియాలోకి అడుగు పెట్టాడు. పుష్కర కాలంలోనే ఔట్ పుట్ ఎడిటర్ అయిపోయాడు. కోట్లాది రూపాయల విలువైన ఆస్తుల్ని కూడబెట్టాడు. ఈ కథ ఇంతటితో అయిపోలేదు. హిచ్ కాక్ సినిమాను మించిన సస్పెన్స్ తో కొనసాగుతోంది. కామం ప్రకోపించిన ఈ చిన్నోడు ఆడవాళ్ళ జీవితాలతో ఆటలు మొదలెట్టాడు. మతాన్ని అడ్డు పెట్టుకొని కట్టుకున్న ధర్మపత్నికి ద్రోహం చేశాడు. విచ్చలవిడి లైంగిక సంబంధాలు కొనసాగించాడు(కొనసాగిస్తున్నాడు) కొందరిని పెళ్ళాడాడు. కొందరితో కలిసి జీవిస్తున్నాడు. ఏక కాలంలో తల్లీ కూతుర్లతో సంబంధం పెట్టు కున్నాడట(?) చిన్నోడి అకృత్యాలను, వేదింపులను భరించలేని భార్య పోలీసుల్ని, న్యాయస్థానాన్ని ఆశ్రయించింది. లక్షలాది రూపాలు వెదజల్లి చట్టం దృష్టినుండి తప్పించుకోవడానికి ప్రయత్నం చేస్తున్నాడు చిన్నోడు. తాజాగా ప్రేమ పేరిట మరో న్యూస్ యాంకర్ని వలలో వేసుకొని పెళ్ళాడు. పాపం చిన్నోడి గత చరిత్ర ఆవిడకు తెలియదేమో.. చిన్నోడి లీలలు ఒక్కొకటి బయటకు రావడంతో ఇతగాడు పనిచేస్తున్న ఛానెల్ ఊద్యోగంలోంచి తీసేసింది. (ఇతగాడి గురించి ఎబౌట్ తెలుగు మీడియా ముందుగానే హెచ్చరించినా సదరు ఛానెల్ కళ్ళు మూసుకొని ఉద్యోగం ఇచ్చింది. అది వేరె కత లెండి) ప్రస్తుతం కనబడకుండా పోయిన చిన్నోడి కోసం పోలీసులు గాలిస్తున్నారు. ఈతడి గత చరిత్రను పోలీసులు ఆరా తీస్తున్నారు. చిన్నోడి మీద ఎన్నో కేసులు నమోదయ్యాయట. దురదృష్టవశాత్తు మన మీడియా అన్ని రకాల నేరగాళ్ళ అడ్డాగా మారిపోయిందనటానికి చిన్నోడి కథే సాక్షం. మెరుగైన సమాజ పూర్వ విద్యార్థి చిన్నోడు ఎవరో ప్రత్యేకంగా చెప్పనక్కరలేదనుకుంటాం..

Another problam is there about sites. Some news are spreading that who can not having residency atleast 3 to 5 years in Hyderabad, they may not get plots in this Jawaharlal Nehru Society. Dont you think its too harsh and hasty comment. think twice before you leave your opinion. Agreed we shouldnt take favours from government. but do you know about our salaries untill last year? Top rung journalist were getting around 25k. My point is Even Govt gives land to journo's that would help them to stabilise their lives. which inturn gives the neceassary motivation towards his duty. Atlast, in the awards function Chiranjeevi officially announced that he got some stake in the channel because of Nagarjuna. While Nag and Chiru were celebrating, the real investor of Maatv has gone unnoticed in the function. Muralikrishraju, who has spent crores for the channel, found upset as he lost control over the channel. Murali only knows what MAArindi in Maatv.

What went wrong with Saakshi?

300 crores were spent. Tonnes of money was spent on meaningless advertising. Scores of journos were poached with hefty pay packets. But when the first edition cameout at 8am, it sunk without trace. The Net-edition looks like a third grade website. Fans of YS family are very much disappointed with the first look of "SAAKSHI". First impression became the worst impression.

Now the question is What went wrong? Who is the culprit?

What a tragedy? The man, who rented his pen to Jagan, without giving much thought compared,Sakshi to Seehta. He might have wrote this piece without commonsense or with foolishness. Seetha is the role of a women, who suffered most difficulties in mythology. Seetha never was never in peace. Is he means, Sakshi is also going to suffer in the same way and ultimately enter in to Bhudevi? What an out dated thinking? Seetha cannot be wife of many(readers) as well Sakshi? Political loyalties aside, Eenadu's first priority has always been quality of news (best example: Saakshi's inaguaration was today's headline news in Eenadu) That's what makes Eenadu No.1. AP people didn't make it the largest circulated daily for no reason. As for Saakshi, it's too early to judge. But, as it's owners' intentions are obvious, it's hard to believe this new kid-in-the-game sticks to the high standards he boasted about in the very first editorial. In that case, Saakshi's fate will be no different from that of Udayam and Vaartha - both of which entered the scene with much fan-fare but quit silently after a few years.

This is not a movie to decide its fate on the first day first show.

This is a news paper, a big venture no body dreamt of two years ago. Every venture will have some teething problems and will take time to set it all right.

The paper and the content is not so bad, poor or worse as some people wrote here. It is worth it.

May be we are expecting too many sensational news and shitty surveys that we are habituated to see in news papers till now and the lack of the same might be disappointing to many.

The website looks very clean without any ad banners distracting our sight. We know several news sites with more ads banners than news.
