Y.S.Jagan has ordered Nukarapu Surya Prakash Rao to delay the launch of Surya till Sakshi hits the stands. He feels that Surya will confuse the reader as both the dailies are for Congress Govt.

OK, Jagan may succeed in stopping Surya like papers because of same party slogan. Can he do the same with existing news papers. No doubt, Jagan face tough fight with Eenadu and Jyothy.
How can he compete with people- old, drunker Patanjali like over seniors. Readers thoughts are changing. Invite new talent, so that exact feelings of readers can excountered. If Seniors number increases.. heaches with their politics and quarrels also increases.. which leade to the downfall of the organisation.
They must be taken for name sake. Not for working. Saakshi topstars.. Are you hearing??

Hyderabad is going to see yet another English newspaper ‘Deccan post’ very soon., It will hit the stands on Gandhi Jayanthi Day.

Do you know who are going to manage this? The undiplamatic A.Srinivasa Rao , who was considered by the DC journalists community as the responsible person for P.Pavan leaving the daily , and Gaddam Ramakrishna who was kicked out of the IE for his high rate of inefficiency are going to run the show. You can now imagine the future of this paper in their hands.

These two are Telangana fundamentalists and are planning to curry favour with some top Telangana protagonists. In fact ,this inefficient Rama Krishna was once considered for editorship of a daily which was proposed to be launched by TRS chief KCR. Needless to say, Srinivasa Rao is a member of the KCR coterie.

Anyhow, what will Rama Krishna do in this paper? Being a womanizer , is he going to fill the tabloid with naked photos of girls or will his office be a centre for his sexual activity? I pity the investors.

Maa 10 new NEWS Channel

As the partnership issues increased in the board, the management decided to raise some money to comeup with news channel and devotional channel. It is rumoured that after becoming a 3 channel bouquet the present partners want to sell off the network. Recently when an Andhra Bhoomi sports journalist met you and your editor with a willingness to join your organization, you turned him away saying that only the journalists of Eenadu and AJ are welcome in your organization and all others are least preferred. Can you explain why they are great and in what respects and why others are inferior? I want to put a direct query to you. If you don’t get the staff for all your 19 editions from these two papers, what are you going to do?

You must know that a daily’s success also depends on marketing dynamics too and not alone on journalism standards. The success is a result of the combination of both. What happened to Andhra Prabha which once ruled the roost? Lack of dynamism on the part of the management destroyed this paper and Indian express. These two papers once terrorized the great Indira Gandhi. Also remember! Eenadu’s success is not a one day affair. AJ too spent heavily on publicity and planned well for strengthening its distribution network.

The journalists of these two papers have not come down from the heavens. They are like any other journalist and they work as per the directions given by the management and the editor. I suggest you should take any journalist coming to you and make him / her work as per your requirements. A knife can be used for killing / injuring people or for cutting fruits.

Sir, Let me thank Ramana for his correct and sound advice to be brief.

I think my more than a decade of interacton with Mass Communication and BPR students in various universities like Madras,Bangalore, Dharwad, Kolhapur, Belguam, IGNOU etc and conducting in-house training sessions for journalism internees in various centres besides my regular profession, is still bugging me to be a bit more extensive in expressions, though I still tell my colleagues that `brevity is the soul of expression!'

May I quote one or two instance:

One applicant for a career in journalism recently wrote : Shakespere was born on his birthday! He used to write books for a living but didnot make much money!

Yet another wrote: Nero king used to sit on an attic in his house and played fiddle to torture people!

These are mentioned not to belittle any individual, least of all youngsters in the begining of their careers, but only out of a feeling of sadness at the `area of darkness' and trying to be helpful to those interested, if possible through this receptive blog.

Its great that Maa TV is launching its news channel soon. They have failed to grow in their entertainment wing nad started showing movies instead of Programmes. Even in serials front, they have failed to produce good serials on their own. Only Gunnam Ganga Raju's serials are running. What happened to their talent ? What is Kuppili Padma doing ? Nobody knows. When their failures are continuing, they look at a news channel !!! Okay, let them start a channel, but , have they succeeded in setting right the existing news ? One headline in the morning news on 14th Aug says CHAARITRAKA VIJAYAM. The incharge who gave that headline doesnt know the difference between CHHAARITRAKA and CHARITRAATMAKA ... What a pity ! We cant count the mistakes they commit. If they announce a prize for those who find more than 100 mistakes ina bulletin, many will compete. Despite all this, we wish them start a news channel since atleast 100 of our fellow journos will get jobs.

Resignations continue in Maa Tv. Though salaries have been hiked, there is dissidence among the staff for the discrimination and some of the staff have decided to resign. news is that mr. kiran, who was on sick leave, has resigned recently. Another desk incharge Rammohan has also decided to quit. Even more shocking news to the management is the decision of Uday who went on leave. Now, leave in Maa TV means decision to quit. The management has already understood that those who are on leave are likely to go away. One efficient Video Editor ( name not known ) is also understood to have submitted his papers a couple of days ago citing discrimination as the cause.

It was started by renowned manipulator of Telugu journalism, Mr. ABK Prasad, with the support of another con artist Girish Sanghi. (Now this attitude changed because of pressure of employees). They took classes to Eenadu journalists that "if you take a site from Govt. you can't write facts against the Govt." Taking house sites according to the rules is against journalist ethics. But grabbing hundreds and thousands of Govt. lands is not against the ethics. This is Cherukuri RamojiRao theory. According to that theory he is aquiring huge lands. Nothing wrong in it. Go ahead have thousands and thousands acres of lands for you and your family.

Friends, Pl note that the decision is by an official of the State government, not an independednt legal body or part of the judiciary. The decsion is by an RDO, who could be directly influenced by Mr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy. Given the vindictive attitude and faction mentality of the Chief Minister, there is nothing to doubt that the move is a pure vindictive action taken using the State machinery, like many instances these days.

Lease period already completed. But he is not vacating, went to court and also pressurising the real owners. Do you know; he is paying 3,000/- PM for vizag office 2 acres site which costs Rs.50 crores now. After completing lease period he gave his consent to increase the lease amount from 3,000/- to 10,000/-. Bap re this much of hike from Ramoji?? That's the Ramoji's style. Journalists of other newspapers were shocked when DC raised the salaries and provided journalists with four wheelers. Do you know how much these tabloids are paying to their reporters at Hyderabad? A cool Rs.50, 000/- PM. Are the reporters of other English dailies at Hyderabad watching this or do they want to compete with DC only?

By the way, I want to know whether the new Telugu daily Saakshi has taken a cue from these English tabloids and is going to come up in complete tabloid form which will be a revolution in the Telugu journalism or stick to the mix of partly broad sheet size and partly tabloid like the other Telugu dailies ?

I am sorry the cunning Ramoji may take a cue from this and turn Eenadu to full tabloid form to create sensation. Saakshi !Think of it.

Of course Ramoji is not sincere. He lost his credibility. He is getting hit left and right regularly. The final blow is expected next year when Saakshi sees light. If everything goes well, Saakshi will become number one by March 2008 and the real exodus from Eenadu group will start as employess will start feeling guilty of working for a scrupulous,unpopular,castist Newspaper whose Management is facing Fraud Allegations.

I think telugu journos who are not in job either with AJ or eenadu are here. becuase apart from these two other papaers are not even apying their salary. Who ever is rejected by these two and jobless psycho jurnos are here againest them by using cast, politics. You can be hopeful on saakshi or surya or chandra( a new newspapaer by famous Kapu),nakshatra ( by Gouda),katti (by mala) Goddal( by Madiga), Kunda( Kummari). But dont blame on the existing. If you are real journo then you should know the difference between order by RDO and judge. if are a journo who can criticise then criticise all YSR,VATTI, RAMOJI. if you are just crtising ramjoi then you are a " Kula Picchodu", "Kula Gazzi". What is the reason to belive saakshi will stay for more than two years. just think in next elections if congress looses power or if optimistic even if it wins , there is no guarantee that YSR is chief minister ( take SM Krishna). If YSR is not CM saakshi will be like Vaarttha their own people will run down. Every one felft vaarttha will do good if congress comes to power but it is worst now.

In guntur, after relentless endeavours of some journalists for 20 long- years, Govt allotted sites at 150 sq. yrds per each journo. But, Eenadu journalists were not allowed to take the sites, under the same ethical presumption. I personally know some hapless employees who are compelled to take permission from the echelons of the edition even to sleep with their spouses. Hence in a nutshell, a bit of 'human space'is the most sought after aspect in the domains of Eenadu anywhere.

Recently when an Andhra Bhoomi sports journalist met you and your editor with a willingness to join your organization, you turned him away saying that only the journalists of Eenadu and AJ are welcome in your organization and all others are least preferred. Can you explain why they are great and in what respects and why others are inferior? I want to put a direct query to you. If you don’t get the staff for all your 19 editions from these two papers, what are you going to do?

You must know that a daily’s success also depends on marketing dynamics too and not alone on journalism standards. The success is a result of the combination of both. What happened to Andhra Prabha which once ruled the roost? Lack of dynamism on the part of the management destroyed this paper and Indian express. These two papers once terrorized the great Indira Gandhi. Also remember! Eenadu’s success is not a one day affair. AJ too spent heavily on publicity and planned well for strengthening its distribution network.

The journalists of these two papers have not come down from the heavens. They are like any other journalist and they work as per the directions given by the management and the editor. I suggest you should take any journalist coming to you and make him / her work as per your requirements. A knife can be used for killing / injuring people or for cutting fruits.

Murthy, Bureau Chief in NTV was asked to leave the organisation as Kommineni put it as a precondition for his continuance. Kommineni also wanted his person to be placed as Bureau Chief and the management is said to have agreed to it. High command dont want another pawar in andhra pradesh. In congress once you loose the power you cant be even CLP leader. Kanneganti Srinivas is a over action person. He use to threat tv5 employees that- He is the idea behind starting the channel by BR Naidu. He also states that he is the person who suggested SivaRam Prasad as MD and Prasad is next to him only. He filled districts with his chemchas who are the hopeless fellows and thrownout from other channels with several allegations. God must help district centers. Srinivas made unneccessary allegations and ruined many worthy fellow jobs which are confirmed by tv5 MD. I think this is the hightime for MD to check the district reporters and replace with worthful ones. It will help tv5 success. Some fans of Murthy seems to have formed as an association to protect Murthy. But they need not criticise Kommoneni mentioning the structure of his teeth. That shows they are intolerable.

Okay, coming to the character of Murthy,everybody knows his weaknesses. I dont want to write them here. He tried to play caste card when he was questioned on his behaviour at Eenaadu saying that he was targetted only because of his caste. What did he do in NTV ? Again filled his caste people with the help of Ramanujan, again his caste man. Why Ramachandra Rao was given that much importance when he doesnt know a single sentence in English ? Is he worth a deputy bureau chief ? His caste only is the reason. Murthy cant answer these points but again take cover under his caste even when he is asked to leave the organisation.

2.News papers like Eenadu, AJ should think twice before taking socalled STUDENTS in to their fold. TODAYS IMMATURE STUDENT is TOMMOROWS TV JOURNALIST. TV journalism means, you dont need to know much. There are some old people in Eenadu, Andhra Jyothi etc., who got 25-30 Years of experience. Can you say those are heros as you coated KSR experience. I think you don't know real face of KSR. He is political broker for ChandraBabu. When he is in Eenadu, allegations on him has confirmed and kicked to Delhi from Hyderabad. That is why he took the corner of Nalla RadhaKrishna (AJ). He will teach his junior how to be maintained as prminent reporter without working on ground reality.. just like him. Did you ever see his script written. I think you had not seen KSR work culture from near. If Binladon start a channel and assure to safe gaurd his interests, if pay high salary.. he will run there. I wont say it is not correct. KSR, SriRam, Madhav (TPT origin) are dongala mutaa, right from their career in Eenadu. Count their assets. Not less then 10- 15 crores each. Their main duty is political pairavi, Real estate brokarism. They earned crores. These people got shares in several businesses. Senior journalists know all about this. ACB will ride on State Govt. employees, CBI on Central Govt. employees. Who will concentrate on media Akramarjna??? These people are role models for upcoming journalists. What a pitty??
Some of our friend said he got 18 years experience and never heard the name of ETV Murthy. Sitting in a desk as 'frog in well' and not knowing main stream reporters is quite common. This people in desks will end their journalism life without knowing current happenings. This person must realise that experience only in Hyd will not only took into count. He must look to other important centers in the state.
If always depends on seniors (Muduru Bendakayalu.. Who were not useful for cooking) we won't see tv9 and other upcoming channels and news papers. Can anybody left to debate???

Recently when an Andhra Bhoomi sports journalist met you and your editor with a willingness to join your organization, you turned him away saying that only the journalists of Eenadu and AJ are welcome in your organization and all others are least preferred. Can you explain why they are great and in what respects and why others are inferior? I want to put a direct query to you. If you don’t get the staff for all your 19 editions from these two papers, what are you going to do?

You must know that a daily’s success also depends on marketing dynamics too and not alone on journalism standards. The success is a result of the combination of both. What happened to Andhra Prabha which once ruled the roost? Lack of dynamism on the part of the management destroyed this paper and Indian express. These two papers once terrorized the great Indira Gandhi. Also remember! Eenadu’s success is not a one day affair. AJ too spent heavily on publicity and planned well for strengthening its distribution network.

The journalists of these two papers have not come down from the heavens. They are like any other journalist and they work as per the directions given by the management and the editor. I suggest you should take any journalist coming to you and make him / her work as per your requirements. A knife can be used for killing / injuring people or for cutting fruits.

This is in response to the comment of the well wisher of SAAKSHI DAILY.

He/She should be appreciated for questioning the irrational attitude of the Saakshi management. but, practically what the managements think is : they want to get themselves strengthened on one hand and weaken the competitor on the other. Since Andhra Bhoomi is not a competitor, Saakshi must have preferred people from Eenadu and Andhra Jyothi. Moreover, Bhoomi is also of Congress and Saakshi may not try to destabilise its own friendly paper.

NTV is being launched on 30th and not on 28th. Union Minister Priyaranjan Das Munshi, Chief Minister YSR and Union Ministers from AP are participating in the launch function being conducted at Gachibowli Stadium.

In the meanwhile, arrangements are also being made to take kommineni into the Board. This helps Mr. Chowdary to be on the safe side even if TDP comes to power next.
Murthy will be asked to follow the instructions of Kommineni since he is the Director. Finally Murthy and Co will leave the organisation.

This strategy is working out slowly.

I think telugu journos who are not in job either with AJ or eenadu are here. becuase apart from these two other papaers are not even apying their salary. Who ever is rejected by these two and jobless psycho jurnos are here againest them by using cast, politics. You can be hopeful on saakshi or surya or chandra( a new newspapaer by famous Kapu),nakshatra ( by Gouda),katti (by mala) Goddal( by Madiga), Kunda( Kummari). But dont blame on the existing. If you are real journo then you should know the difference between order by RDO and judge. if are a journo who can criticise then criticise all YSR,VATTI, RAMOJI. if you are just crtising ramjoi then you are a " Kula Picchodu", "Kula Gazzi". What is the reason to belive saakshi will stay for more than two years. just think in next elections if congress looses power or if optimistic even if it wins , there is no guarantee that YSR is chief minister ( take SM Krishna). If YSR is not CM saakshi will be like Vaarttha their own people will run down. Every one felft vaarttha will do good if congress comes to power but it is worst now.

Gemini group which made a movie with Megastar Chiranjeevi is now stepping back in movie publicity. When the movie was announced, Gemini made a good table profit by selling the distribution rights to huge amounts. They completely ignored the movie publicity and advertising start from the beginning and now they are public in saying its waste to spend money on movie publicity as the movie became a disaster.

Gemini TV which lost the viewership and ratings from past 2 years is now depending on Megastar Chiranjeevi movie Shankardada Zindabad, which is coming from home production of Gemini group. They are trying to attract the fans of Chiru by giving special programmes, special updates and promos of the movie. They are not even inviting other channel crew or allowing them to cover the happenings of the movie even on special requests. Only MAA TV is able to get "some" kind of information on the movie.

Adding to the above news, GEMINI group today rejected promos and updates of Shankar Dada Zindabad to MAA TV too. Does Gemini thinks that people of Andhra watch only Gemini and Teja News?

Sir, - Gemini has not been able to make an impact on viewers because of its poor programme content - be it long-drawn out serials running into unending episodes with little content or other features or even news coverage.

Many serials, with woman enacting dominant roles, are highly emotionally loaded, with a lot of melodrama, weeping scenes and heavy dialogues which surely are not the cup of average Andhra viewers. Such tedious serials, with some woman characters looking like villains, and running into several episodes may go down with audience elsewhere.

A photogenic face which can express the mood of a news report coupled with radiogenic voice is a must for newscasters - whether language news readers or english news readers. Synchronisation with visuals when reading news is essential.

If the language is faulty and unbearable, people swap channels in a split second.

Cinema-based programmes are inevitable for channels but cinema and its presiding deities alone are not the be-all-and-end-all of existence. Because anything excess breeds contempt. Similarly viewers abhor cheap humour in the name of comedy.

TV programming is an art and a single smart and brainy anchor can pull through a one-hour slot without any difficulty and to the delight of viewers.

andhra jyothy mahboobnagar desk incharge murali mohana rao has resigned on wednesday july 25, 2007.next month aj is launching its new edition at mahaboobnagar. murali mohana rao recently built his own house at attapur. he already got plot from journalist quota long back. he sold his plot and made beautiful house. when he thought to live happy life radha krishna gave him a jolt. he ordered muralimohana rao to go mahboobnagar . if not then resign. murali didnot like rk attitude. he bravely taken the step and resigned. he is getting offers from "surya daily". in the absence of murali mohana rao ... khaja moinuddin is the new desk incharge of aj mahboobnagar edition. but khaja also reluctent to go mahaboonagar. he has lorry transport business in hyderabad. its running good. we may see another resignation from mahaboob nagar desk. the person is..yes u guessed it right...none other than...khaja.

"surya daily" launching has been postponed to october. if the surya daily not launch in october..it may be never start.
the reasons are below:
1.lack of man power and lack of good, quality incharges.
2. due to lack of man power "NOOKARAPU SURYAPRAKASHA RAO" has decided to drop four editon centres.
3. ysr sharma (gaddam sharma of eenadu)is planning to leave "surya" ...he is all set to join "indira tv" or "saakshi daily".
4. ramana rao (assistent editor), satya murthy (editor)worried about this latest development.
5. cine actor jagapathi babu filed a case against nookarapu suryaprakasha rao. nookarapu debt to jagapathi babu around Rs.50,00,000 lakhs.

Mr. Chintaa Sudhakar, Chief Cameraman and Mr. Bhootamaapuram Shiva Kumar, Script Writer and Director have already given notices of resignation. The others to follow them are keeping it a secret. Raghava, Narsimha and Harikrishna, who were earlier with Gemini and now in Maa are also leaving soon.Mr. G.K.Mohan, the kingpin behind this migration wants to plant his men in all the channels to see that the whole entertainment industry is in his hands. Everybody knows that most of the staff in the programming department people are GK's men. They work part-time in GK's studio without pay. GK's wife Anu Radha is the Head of Programming in Zee Telugu.GK is always seen in Gemini. The equipment of Gemini is always used by GK. Now he is planting his people in Asianet also.Already, Ms. Kavita, one time anchor joined Asianet. Earlier , kavita was anchor for GK's private programme Cheppukondi Chuuddaam. This is game played by GK and everybody must know.

Sir, - Anyone aspiring to join english journalism need to have fairly good command over the language. The aspiring journalist must have sound and good grounding in grammar, particularly good grasp of basics like parts of speech, syntax or sentence construction, active and pasive voice, correct use of prepositions, articles, direct and indirect speech, reporting verb formations etc. These are minimum requirements. The larger the vocabulary, the more flexible the expressions can be.

Good command over english alone is not enough to shine in the field - either reporting or editing. It enables an aspiring journalist to file reports in a relatively flawless english, but what is esential in a report is information or content. For this a reporter has to physically present himself, see for himself and gather the relevant info. Back in the office, he would be able to file accurate reports based on his first hand information and reading of the situation. In other words, any aspiring journo, or leman has to do a lot of leg work for producing news worthy reports. In case of sub-editors the responsibility is much more. They must have good command over english, ability to weed out errors - structural or as well as content inconsistences - clean the copy, give a good, catch or offbeat headlines besides producing the pages by filling the news holes with intertesting news.

The general principles of reporting and editing hold good more or less the same whether one opts for english or language journalism. In vernacular journalism, the sub must have good translation skills - both verbatim and free translation- while subbing copy for their respective pages. Here also, if the reporter/sub has good coommand ovder the language, capable of idiomatic expressions and embellish even ordinary news reports with popular adages and give catch headlines, they would shine in their respective areas.

If journalistic profession is chosen as a means of livelihood and a nine-to-five affair like in government service, one may find it difficult to continue for long in this profession. If one has inherent and abiding interest in this kind of public service activity, where the paypacks, usually are not very attractive, one may enjoy the field with all its inherent deficiences.

A writer or columnist is different from an Editor. Journalism itself is literature in a hurry where the cardinal principle is dissemination, spreading or conveying of information about incidents and developments that affect wider sections of the people, in a simple and straight forward and understandable language.

The Bald Headed fellow who thrives on Gemini is known to everybody. He uses all the equipment of Gemini for his studio work. All the staff are appointed on his recommendation only. They have to work extra hours in his studio as he gave them jobs.He blackmails the Gemini Directors and get his work done there. His wife is creative head in ZEE Telugu and he is always seen in Gemini. Can you understand any logic ?
